The delight of a late winter snow...

When we went to bed last night the sky was bright with stars.  We awoke to the unmistakable quiet of fresh snow.  All the cedar and fir branches bowed gracefully under a perfect light coating of white.

The warmth of the strengthening sun is quickly melting the snow, and water droplets twinkle like sequins amidst the green needles....

and the hardy little crocus laughs at winter!
